Hand Painted Drums
By Rose |
Known simply as "Rose," this wonderfully gifted Taos artist has had work commissioned, collected and shown nationwide in a variety of media: drums, scrimshaw, silver, leather, canvas and more. Rose carries both Apache and Tarahumara Indian blood in her and it comes out in her designs. Her graceful, intricate designs have deeply moved many who view them.
The drums are stretched and strung in the traditional way, using natural, top grain rawhide.
